SUMMARY:Skymind in Poland: THE COURAGE OF AN OPEN HEART – Buddhist Teachings in the Face of the Challenges of the Modern World
DESCRIPTION:In these uncertain times\, we often experience fear\, anxiety\, despair\, and a sense of helplessness. How can we find a deeper source of support? Where should we look for refuge? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe teachings of the Buddha arose as a direct response to the uncertainty and suffering we experience in human life. They remind us of our true nature\, which we can access and rest in as a source of peace\, connection\, and genuine liberation. Buddhist teachings invite us to recognize the ground of being—ultimate refuge—which permeates and embraces everything like the Great Mother in an all-encompassing embrace. \n\n\n\nDuring this course\, we will draw from the teachings of the great 11th-century Tibetan yogini Machig Labdrön\, who offers clear guidance on how to work with the mind and heart in order to recognize the primordial freedom that is our natural state. SUMMARY:Skymind in Germany - Resting in the Ground of Being: Buddhist Wisdom on Death and Dying (Sold Out)
DESCRIPTION:Contemplating death can be a doorway into profound freedom\, inviting us to meet the certainty of our impermanence as a teacher and tremendous opportunity for awakening. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis seminar explores death and dying through the lens of Tibetan Buddhism\, drawing particularly on the teachings of the great 11th century yogini Machig Labdrön. We will look at the many ways we habitually respond to death—avoidance\, anxiety\, fear—and learn how to shift into a fresh\, honest\, and inspired relationship with our own mortality. You’ll be invited to gently reflect on your own death: How do you wish to meet that moment? What state of mind do you want to cultivate when everything familiar falls away? In Machig’s wisdom tradition\, the view is that we can actually recognize and rest into the infinitely compassionate ground of being from which came\, which we have never left\, and which we will dissolve back into. Our practice then is to relax and surrender\, to rest the mind in openness\, ease\, presence\, kindness\, and curiosity both in our everyday life and in preparation for our death. This supportive retreat will include teachings and discussion\, guided contemplations\, and an introduction to the Skymind open awareness meditation. No previous meditation experience is necessary. \n\n\n\nLecture: Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm.Cost: 20 euros.Seminar: Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm\, Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm.Cost for seminar: 100 eurosplus Dana.

SUMMARY:Skymind in Sweden: Resting in the Natural State
DESCRIPTION:Buddhist Teachings on Accessing our True Nature\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSkymind is an invitation to rest into our true nature. In the Buddhist tradition\, this nature is inseparable from the ground of being – vast\, luminous\, and compassionate\, embracing all things like a Great Mother. \n\n\n\nBut how do we recognize the innate wakefulness and primordial wholeness of our true nature? How do we access the ground? “Rest\,” say the teachings\, “rest in the natural state.” \n\n\n\nBuddhist Teachings on Accessing our True Nature\n\n\n\nIn this weekend retreat we’ll practice to embody this deceivingly simple and potent instruction\, guided by key teachings from the 11th-century Tibetan yogini\, Machig Labdrön\, and the non-dual Mahamudra lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThese pith instructions invite us to practice radical acceptance and reveal our capacity to meet whatever we encounter on the journey of life – however beautiful or terrible – with a vast mind and a fiercely loving open heart. \n\n\n\nOur time together includes teachings and discussion\, contemplations to integrate our insights into daily life\, and an introduction to the Skymind open awareness meditation. \n\n\n\nFor those with previous experience in meditation and Buddhism\, this weekend offers a joyful deepening of your path; for those new to meditation\, the weekend offers an entry to the depth and beauty of these teachings and practice.

SUMMARY:The Mandala Method in Prague: Journey into the Union of the Sacred Feminine and Masculine
DESCRIPTION:The Mandala Method courses and retreats offer an exploration into the ancient Tibetan Buddhist template of the mandala as it applies to our inner path of transformation and our outer experience in the world. In her book\, Wisdom Rising: Journey into the Mandala of the Empowered Feminine (Atria\, 2018)\, Lama Tsultrim Allione offers mandala practices she has long taught in an accessible form suitable for Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike.  \n\n\n\nThe Mandala Method program is a deeper dive into these practices\, along with additional practices to empower personal and spiritual transformation. \n\n\n\n\n“The mandala is a template or blueprint of wholeness. It has a center and four directions. Associated with each direction is a color\, an element\, an obstructed pattern and a wisdom. It is a way to understand yourself and also your world.”\n\n\n\n – Lama Tsultrim Allione\n\n\n\n\nJourney into the Union of the Sacred Feminine and Masculine (Yab Yum)\n\n\n\nVenture into the Yab Yum Mandala to explore divine union beyond gender identifications\, through the union of the feminine and masculine we each hold within ourselves. The model of Yab Yum union enables a direct experience of non-duality. The exploration of encumbered patterns  as represented by the five families becomes a framework for exploring obscurations that arise in relationships\, such as attachment\, anger\, disconnection\, and jealousy\, and how these may be transformed into relationship wisdom. \n\n\n\nThe work of healing and moving towards wholeness involves drawing forth and cultivating the positive aspects of both our feminine and masculine energies; otherwise\, the hidden agenda of each can be destructive and self-sabotaging. With the Mandala Method program we offer a sublime method to work with the feminine through the Mandala of the Dakinis\, the masculine in the Mandala of the Buddhas\, and the union of the two in the Mandala of the Yab Yum. This is deep inner work appropriate for individuals of all gender identities. \n\n\n\nWe can explore the Yab Yum in outer\, inner and secret ways\, a traditional way to unpack various layers of any given teaching. At an outer level\, the teachings of Yab Yum suggest that we can meet another being – however that “other” appears to us – as a path of practice in which we fully face our partner with no escape\, no guarantee\, no solid ground. At an inner level\, we can understand Yab Yum as a symbol of an internal balance between energies we have come to label ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine.’  At a secret level\, the Yab Yum is the union of the ground of being and the emanations of the ground\, the fundamental non-duality of emptiness and form\, of wisdom and compassion.  \n\n\n\nThis course includes: \n\n\n\n\nTeachings on the Yab Yum figures and symbolism – Male and Female Buddhas \n\n\n\nIntegration of Sacred Feminine and Masculine\, beyond the binary understanding\n\n\n\nTeachings on Jung’s Anima/Animus\n\n\n\nWorking with obscurations in relationships\, inner and outer\n\n\n\nTeachings on inner\, outer\, and secret mandala\n\n\n\nDivine union and non-duality\n\n\n\nThe Mandala of the Yab Yum\, daily meditation practice\n\n\n\nGuided Journey with the Yab Yum of a chosen family\n\n\n\nArt through Mandala Work with your Hands\n\n\n\nUnblocking the Encumbered Energy (Sound and Light Practice) for all five families\n\n\n\nElement Meditation for all five families

SUMMARY:Feeding Your Demons in Prague: Level II
DESCRIPTION:Please note\, this retreat requires the completion of Feeding Your Demons (FYD) Level I. Come join us in romantic Prague the second level of a full cycle of FYD teachings. This retreat will be followed by a Certification Level Training in the future. FYD Level II is for anyone who has completed Level I and is interested in this powerful modality for their personal benefit. FYD Certification is for those who want to use FYD with clients in a one-on-one setting. Ideal for psychotherapists\, coaches and the like. It also functions as an advanced training\, together with Level II\, for anyone interested in deepening their FYD work. \n\n\n\nFeeding Your Demons\n\n\n\nFeeding Your Demons® (FYD) is an accessible and powerful method for recognizing and transforming the deep-seated patterns\, triggers\, and neuroses that so often undermine the quality and enjoyment of our lives. Lama Tsultrim Allione developed this profoundly effective 5-step process\, which she outlines in her bestselling book Feeding Your Demons: Ancient Wisdom for Resolving Inner Conflict (Little Brown Co. 2008). FYD guides practitioners to transform their negative emotions\, fears\, illnesses\, and self-defeating patterns. \n\n\n\nA recent study of the effects of FYD was conducted on adults in recovery from alcohol and/or drug abuse and who had elevated symptoms of anxiety and depression. The study found that FYD was associated with significant decreases in stress\, depression\, and intolerance for uncertainty\, combined with significant increases in self-compassion and satisfaction with life. \n\n\n\nWho is the training for?\n\n\n\n\nMental health professionals\, life coaches\, therapists\, spiritual mentors\, social workers\, and people whose work involves helping and healing others.\n\n\n\nIndividuals who want to learn an effective method to transform their own habitual patterns\, challenges and obstacles.\n\n\n\nAll those who feel that their lives are affected by the consequences of past traumas.\n\n\n\nAnyone who wants to stop their struggle with addiction\, fear\, anxiety\, guilt\, anger or any other form of inner conflict.

SUMMARY:Chöd: Transforming Fear Through Compassion (Online)
DESCRIPTION:Chöd (meaning ‘to cut through’) is a thousand-year-old Tibetan Buddhist practice for meeting and engaging fears and fixations through the practice of compassion and generosity. The practice\, sung in beautiful melodies and accompanied by a drum and bell\, has its roots in shamanic traditions and was traditionally often performed as a healing practice. Visualizing an offering of our own body to that which would seemingly destroy us\, we practice releasing our grasp on the egoic self and opening to our inherent freedom\, compassion\, and wisdom. In this retreat\, you will learn a Chöd practice revealed by the deeply revered Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche\, and explore the teachings that underlie this powerful tradition. \n\n\n\nAlthough this online Chöd retreat is open to all\, it is a follow-up to a wonderful in-person Feeding Your Demons retreat that we (Charlotte and Pieter) gave in San Luis Potosi in 2025\, and we are delighted to continue to work with our warm-hearted friends from Mexico – and now to extend that warm invitation to people from all over our planet. \n\n\n\nThe teachings will be offered in English\, with instant zoom translation into Spanish and 34 other languages. \n\n\n\nA traditional Chöd drum and bell is strongly recommended – please inquire for details as to where to buy these). \n\n\n\nTO REGISTER: If you are in Mexico\, please contact Monica Montoya manita_brujer@hotmail.com or Leslie Serna leslieserna@hotmail.com. If you are anywhere else\, please contact Charlotte: charlotte@skymind.us.
